Our Vision is guided by a Tongi prophetic saying:

Services

We deliver our Rongoa Maori services throughout Waikato and Maniapoto through a referral only basis. We are experienced in reinstating wellness in the following key areas:

Agency Referrals

Clientelle are referred to us by agencies such as ACC Social Rehibiltation, ACC Sensitive claims, Te Whatu Ora Mental Health Services, Oranga Tamariki Ministry for Children (Rangatahi in care as well as the whanau that are involved with that Rangatahi).

Cultural Supervision

This is a service we provide which is a Maori centered practice to be able to support staff that are within frontline trauma based positions. Our processes aid the release of heaviness and the trauma that an individual may be exposed to in their work.

Education Services

Public speaking and workshops. From lecturing at Otago University to delivering Rongoa Maori workshops in the community, corporate environments, universities, high schools, hauora groups.

ACC Social Rehabilitation

Social rehabilitation services aim to rehabilitate and improve the functional capability of our injured kiritaki, to help them return to independence. Independence can include: carrying out daily tasks, participating in education, contributing to whānau and community.

Te Waka o Matariki Practitioners will deliver treatments such as Mirimiri, Rongoa and Romiromi.

Nanny Heeni Practicioner

Nanny Heeni

Nanny Heeni is the centrepoint of our organisation, the pou of Te Waka o Matariki. As the physical and spiritual anchor, Nanny Heeni provides the whāriki, the woven mat and foundation that we can all then stand upon.

What is Rongoa?

Rongoa Maori is the cultural application of a holisitic delivery model to reinstate health and well-being within an individual and their whanau.

Te Waka o Matariki delivers a Rongoa service which is complimentary to western models of health care to help enhance overall outcomes.
